Sources & counting method

WHO workforce figures use each country’s latest available observation from 2015–2025, retrieved 6 October 2026. Definitions and reporting coverage differ by country. Continent figures are documented subtotals across mixed years, not a current market census. Each country or territory is included once within a continent; EU figures overlap the continent lists and must not be added to them. Pharmacists are people, not pharmacy locations. Hospital capacity is beds per 1,000 people, not a hospital count.

Countries and territories are geographic navigation entries; they are not all independent states. Entries are grouped once for navigation. Source statistics may use different geographic coverage.

*Figures and listings are updated periodically as research expands and Careverse adoption grows. Market statistics and third-party listings do not represent Careverse membership, partnerships or service availability. Sources and reporting years accompany the figures. Missing data means not yet verified, not zero.
